Our team of Optometrists and Certified Contact Lens Fitters will happily assist you with all your requests for a thorough eye exam, contact lens fitting or referral consultation for all the age groups, specializing in pediatric and geriatric optometry.
As per the current guidelines of Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, the age categories covered yearly by government are children of age 0 – 19, and seniors of age 65 and older.
People under social assistance of Ministry of Social Services and Ontario Disability Support Program are covered once every 2 years as well.
The age category between 20 – 64 years has been de-insured completely by MOH LTC in 2004 and the coverage for these eye exams has been overtaken by the insurance companies offering benefit packages to qualifying applicants.
For all the uninsured eye exams we charge a modest fee of $90.00, which covers the detailed and thorough eye examination resulting in Rx prescription for your new pair of glasses or contact lenses at your convenience.
As per regulations of Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, the contact lens fitting and teaching services are not covered under current OHIP coverage and there is a fee for these services. Information about the fees is readily available at the reception desk.
